Diamond Wire Saw Structures and Manufacturing Forms

diamond wire saw is made up of a rope which fixes diamond beads in a certain gap. It consists of six parts as follows.

(1)Steel rope; 

(2)Diamond beads

(3)Steel ring, mainly used for fixed distance and isolation beads; 

(4)Separator sleeve, used for separating beads and stringing beads along the rope in a small range. The separator sleeve commonly contains spring sleeve, plastic sleeve, rubber sleeve; 

(5)Fixing ring; 

(6)Joint.

Before working, one end of the diamond wire saw should pass through two holes intersecting at one point in two holes drilled into marble in vertical or horizontal direction, and then the two ends of bead wire should be connected with a joint to a closed form.


Common manufacturing forms of diamond wire saw:

(1) Sintering method. Diamond particles were sintered by powder metallurgy. Usually a layer of diamond grains with a thickness of 1-1.5~is arranged at the outer diameter. This method makes the diamond ring have uniform cutting performance and long service life. Because of its self-sharpening performance, the ring block can always keep sharp cutting performance. The choice of diamond ring block can be based on the material to be processed to select different roughness, binder and hardness, in order to achieve the purpose of high efficiency and economy.

(2) Electroplating method. This method is made by electrodepositing a layer of diamond single crystal on the steel matrix, so the process is the same as that of common diamond electroplating products. It is made of 45 or 40Cr steel, so that the plating and coating can be firmly combined, and the inner hole can withstand the friction of the steel rope.

(3) Brazing method. The diamond in brazed beads at high temperature is arranged regularly and distributed reasonably. Chemical bonding coexists with metallurgical bonding, so the diamond has strong holding power, high sawing speed and relatively low sawing cost.
