Working principle and development process of diamond rope saw

Diamond rope saw is composed of wire rope core, diamond beads and isolation sleeve. Beads are worn at regular intervals on the core and separated by an isolation sleeve. Traditional beads are made in two ways, electroplating and thermal sintering. Originally, diamond beads were produced by electroplating and sintered after 1983. The later diamond abrasive can be constantly updated, cutting speed is slow, but the service life is long. The common drawback of these two beads is that the diamond abrasive is distributed randomly and unevenly.

Many countries attach great importance to the research of diamond rope saw. Austria has developed a diamond rope-saw that can process round tables such as glass, stone and other valuable furniture, as well as tombstones and quartz glass, as well as cutting glass panels. The saw can complete such two-dimensional curved surface as inclined plane, vertical plane, internal groove and cutting circle. The cutting speed was 30m/s, feeding speed was 5cm/min, and the bead diameter was 9mm. In 1997 Bideseimpianti of Italy developed a computer-controlled four-axis tandem diamond saw with two straight axes, a vertical axis and a horizontal axis. Can process the column body of different length, cone and other shape curved surface, if can be machined by whole stone material to give turn stair. The cutting speed is 10~40m/s and the feeding speed is 1.1m/h.

Diamond rope saw can not only cut directly, but also cut curved surface. When cutting sheet material, it can also cut multi-channel diamond rope saw. The production efficiency is very high.
